We are conducting research examining differences between individuals with autism, Williams syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome and other serious developmental disabilities.

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging machine uses magnetism and radio waves (not x-rays) to make pictures. It has been in use for more than 10 years and millions of people have had the procedure without injury. Therefore, MRI is thought to be completely safe, though no one can guarantee that there are no long-term adverse health effects. The only known risks are to individuals with heart pacemakers and certain types of metallic implants. If you have either of these, you cannot participate in this study because of effects the magnetic field could have on the pacemaker or a metallic implant such as an aneurysm clip

18 - 35, (British) Sleep & Depression research studies

Our research investigates how various types of stimuli affect sleep, circadian (24-hour) rhythms and mood in humans.

We hope that this research might help us treat individuals who have trouble staying awake in the evening, and who wake up early in the morning. This research may also have applications to jet lag and shiftwork.

Participation requires two stays, in your own private room, at our sleep facility
